So we had to break
into our house this week… that was kind of fun. HAHA My companion locked his
keys in the house so we had to bust down the front gate in order to get in. The
barbwire didn’t allow us to go over the fence at all, so we had to bust down
the front door. Everyone was looking at us like we were crazy. So that was fun
and interesting. HAHA
So we baptized a
familia this week. They are amazing. Familia Madrano, they are so great. They
are quite the couple. She is like 45 and he is 78… do the math on that one.
They are in such love, it’s not even funny. They are amazing. We have had such
a great time teaching them!
Hermano Madrano is
amazing. He is such a great guy, has been to a TON of churches and knew a lot.
It was great helping him come along and answer all his questions and doubts
that he had along with his wife and allow them to make the best decision of
their lives. They were SO happy to get married and baptized, they were estatic!
So Friday we married
them and Friday night we baptized them too. Noche de Blanco! Night of white
baby! It was quite the hall trying to get them married because she is from a
pueblo about 3 hours from here and he is from one about an hour from here, but
it all worked out. There were some delays and problems with the papers (ask me
about when I get home hahha) but in the end we all got it worked out. It was a
miracle straight from the Lord, let me put it that way. They were so
happy.
Right now our zone is
the highest baptizing zone in the mission and we are doing great, having a lot
of fun and making some changes for the better to see the results change around.
Last week we had a few meetings with president and we came to conclusion that
we needed to make some changes mission wide, so that is what we are doing and
we are seeing the results. We are really getting after it in the zone. It’s so
much fun, every day we just see the Lords hand in our work. IT’S AMAZING.
There is no better
thing than seeing the little miracles every day that the Lord has for us. I
challenge each of you to look for the miracles that the Lord has in store for
you each day. Look for the little things that make things all worth it.
This week we had
interviews with president and they went very well. He didn’t have too much to
say, he was just talking about how he is excited for me to put into practice
all that I have learned when I get home. It went well, it was super chill, we
talked a lot about our zone and other mission stuff. We talked about how my scripture
studying is going and talked about life and down the road. It was good, always
great to get some inspiration from such a spiritual man. So that was a good
time. Learned a lot from Papi Fortuna.
What else... we went
to this AMAZING restaurant with a good friend this week. It was SO good. So
that was a pretty good time to say the least. We had some good laughs, only
thing we were missing were a few girls with us hahaha but it was a great time.
It was like a BBQ place. What else... I am trying to think of everything from this
week, it all seems like a blurrrrr… so fast.
I LOVE THESE. READ AND PONDER. ACT AND YOU WILL RECEIVE.........
"The Lord made it very clear at the start of this last
dispensation that we were to take the gospel to all the world. Whatever our
age, capacity, Church calling, or location, we are as one called to the work to
help Him in His harvest of souls."
"All missionaries, younger and older, serve with the sole hope of making life better for other people. The decision to serve a mission will shape the spiritual destiny of the missionary, his or her spouse, and their posterity for generations to come."
"A desire to serve is a natural outcome of one’s
conversion, worthiness, and preparation."
"The love of Jesus Christ must be our guide if we are to
become aware of the needs of those we can help in some way. The teachings of
our Lord, Jesus Christ, show us the way. And that is how our personal ministry
begins: discovering needs, then tending to them."
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one
another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all
men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John
13:34–35)."
"The great test of life is obedience to God. “We will prove
them herewith,” said the Lord, “to see if they will do all things whatsoever
the Lord their God shall command them” (Abr. 3:25). The great task of life is
to learn the will of the Lord and then do it. The great commandment of life is
to love the Lord."
"There is room for improvement in every life. Regardless of
our occupations, regardless of our circumstances, we can improve ourselves and
while so doing have an effect on the lives of those about us."
Enjoy the pictures.
